A Proclamation in Honor of Anita Murphree
Business Manager, Southeast Arkansas Education Service Cooperative

Whereas, Anita Murphree was a widely recognized and highly respected leader in school business affairs in Arkansas and nationally; and
Whereas, she had been honored by her peers by being selected as the Arkansas School Business Administrator of the Year in 2000; and
Whereas, she had provided superb leadership to school business officials throughout the state during her tenure as president of the Arkansas Association of School Business Officials in the 1997-98 school year; and
Whereas, she served as the Arkansas Representative on the Board of Directors of the Southeast Association of School Business Officials representing school business leaders in 13 states; and
Whereas, she served with distinction on the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Association of School Business Officials for ten years; and|Whereas, she served on the Arkansas Public School Health Insurance Board from 1991-95 and continued to be a strong advocate throughout her career for adequate health insurance for the state’s school employees; and
Whereas, she performed exemplary service as a school business official in the Southeast Arkansas Education Service Cooperative; and
Whereas, by her example in word, and deed, she lived a courageous and honorable life and made innumerable friends along the way;
Therefore, be it resolved, that the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Association of School Business Officials honors Anita Murphree for her distinguished service to education and to school business officials everywhere.
This resolution approved by the AASBO Board of Directors in Little Rock on September 18, 2002.
