ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES - Wednesday, April 19
The Arkansas Association of School Business Officials (AASBO) has scheduled six sessions of CASBO certification classes for Thursday, April 27 & Friday, April 28 at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Little Rock. Plan on attending the CASBO classes and learn valuable information and updates in public school finance as well as networking with other school business officials from throughout the state.
CPE CREDITS FOR CPAs NOW AVAILABLE for a select number of classes!!!
If you are a CPA, each CASBO Class on Friday, April 28 qualifies for 2 hours of CPE credit in Personnel/HR field of study, with the following conditions:
- You must attend in person
- You must sign in & sign out and complete other paperwork on-site
- While registering:
- Please check the appropriate box if you wish to sign up for the CPE credit
- You will also list your CPA license number
- No Prerequisites are needed
- Who Should Attend? Superintendents & School Business Officials including CPAs
- Advanced preparation: Class presentation material will be sent to all participants to preview before the classes
- Program Level: Basic
- Delivery Method: Group-Live
“LIVE STREAMING” OPTION
If you are unable to attend on-site in Little Rock, the CASBO classes will be "live streamed" as an alternative option. To "live stream" the CASBO classes, you must create a personal account through ArkansasIDEAS. If you have previously live streamed classes you can use your existing ArkansasIDEAS account. Live streaming registration closes Friday, April 21. with no exceptions. Do not delay!
You are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
Online registration will close on Wednesday, April 19.

Description:A panel presentation and discussion of handling school district construction projects: Assessing financial needs and available funding; Facilities Funding for school district construction projects; bond issues; millage campaigns; tracking construction costs; and coding issues.

Description: Introductory class covering topics such as HR legal issues, evaluation, recruitment and selection, job descriptions, and personnel records.

Description: Class covers legal authority and obligations of school districts regarding employee contracts, salaries, wages, benefits, deductions and pertinent payroll records and personnel policies.

2:30 - 4:30 HR201-HR Compliance Issues
Description:A course to provide compliance regarding labor issues, compensation issues and time sheet issues.
